How My Newborn Photography Pricing Works

One of the most common questions I get from parents is:

“How does your newborn photography pricing work?”

If you’ve been looking at newborn photographers, you may have noticed that many studios structure their pricing slightly differently. I like to keep things simple and flexible so families can choose the images they love most.

Here’s a quick guide to how booking a newborn session with Moochies Newborn Photography works.

Step 1: Reserve Your Due Date

To secure a newborn session, I ask for a £20 deposit when booking.

This deposit reserves space in my diary around your baby’s due date. Because newborn sessions take place within a small window after birth, I only take a limited number of bookings each month to make sure I can accommodate each baby safely.

Once your baby arrives, you simply message me and we arrange your session date.

Step 2: Your Newborn Session

The remaining £50 session fee is paid on the day of your session.

Your newborn session takes place in my cosy home studio and is designed to be calm and baby-led. Sessions typically last around 2–3 hours, allowing time for feeding, settling and cuddles.

During the session I will gently pose your baby using soft wraps and neutral styling to create timeless images you’ll treasure forever.

Parents are welcome to sit back, relax and enjoy the experience while I capture those tiny details.

Step 3: Choosing Your Images

After your session, your gallery will be carefully edited and delivered for you to view.

You can then choose your favourite images from the session. My collections are:

• 5 digital images – £200• 15 digital images – £300• Full gallery – £400

Many parents love upgrading to the full gallery so they don’t have to leave any images behind.

Why I Offer Flexible Image Collections

Every family is different, and I believe you should only pay for the images you truly love.

This way, parents have the flexibility to choose a smaller collection or upgrade if they fall in love with more photos from their session.

Booking Your Newborn Session

Newborn sessions are best booked during pregnancy, as the ideal time to photograph babies is within the first couple of weeks after birth.
